two good legs

god made us in his image and endowed us with two good legs  so  that

we could all stand on  our  own  but  there  are  perfectly  normal  people

living  in  our  midst  who  chose  to live  like  a  paraplegic~  having   two

good  legs yet  prefer  to be  crippled  seeking  out  god  day  in  and  day

out  wanting   god   to   be   their  crutch   in   the   minutest  of   decisions

they could  easily hurdle through  by  themselves  i  sometimes  wonder

if  both legs should be done away with so that one has  a  better  reason

why one should be spoonfed by god since the two good  legs  are of  no

use because there are out there, genuine cases where god’s grace and

prop is truly needed~ where  those  in  prosthesis  seek  god’s  strength

to  learn  how  to  walk  again  with  limbs   that   are   tragically  removed,

diseased or  are  simply not there since birth..

mahjong faith

man are like the little  mahjong  tiles  scattered  on  god’s  mahjong  table.

on  the  four corners  sat  the  leaders  of  each  faith ~  shuffling,  stacking,

aligning  and  configuring  us  as  we  lay  prostrated,  not  knowing  which

amongst the challengers is going to pick us up  nor  are  we  to  know  our

fate because when one challenger at a glance decides not to retain  us  in

his group, we would be dropped so  fast~  disposed  like  a  factory  reject

onto  that  non  partisan  white  square,  our  only  consolation  being  that

one  of  the  other  three leaders  will  eventually  picked  us  up  to  form  a

group he  so  desires but,  if  so we  were  initially  needed,  then  you  and

I  could  be  certain  at  that   instance  how  that  leader  will  always   keep

watch over  us   throughout  the  game~  how  he  carefully  rearranges  us,

aligning us into neat stacks getting  us  ready  for  that  one  final  show  of

hand  so,   no  worries  gentlemen~  each  time   we   ponder   why    some

people faith hop but  still  found  hope  and  a  brand  new  day  like  a  little

block of  mahjong  tile  as  they  got  shuffled,  stacked  and  pushed  along

in their own little journey called faith!

utopianism

I have been accused of preaching utopianism (sigh!)..  but aren’t  every  issue

we raise up and every thing we fight for pointing  towards  utopianism?  When

we demonstrate for want of better laws and better governance, when we fight

against  social  rot  and  injustices  and  against  environmental  degradation/

wastage for the want of  a cleaner,  greener  environment,  when  we  fight  for

better economic policies and elimination of  corruption,  for  the  want  of  civil

liberties, to reduce illiteracy and encourage organic farming, aren’t  all  these

actions taken for the sake of society leaning towards  utopianism? Aren’t our

religious books a guide towards utopianism?

human race, human waste

I was at the beach the other day

I was taken in by the tide that remains

as how I loved some twenty years ago

skimming in and out from the horizon

.

I was at the beach the other day

I was taken in by the breeze streaming

back and forth  echoing  the  foreshore

as how I loved some twenty years ago

.

until  I  found  a  box  of   leftover  pizza

until  I found  an outdated pair of jeans

until I found  a doll with a missing arm

all soaked in brine, all washed ashore

.

I was at the beach the other day

I was  taken  in, then  jolted  out  by  the

cries of  seagulls  hovering  above  me

how the waves no longer act the same

.

as how I loved some twenty years ago

.

I was at the beach the other day

and I found  some  twenty  yards  away

covered in grime as it washes  ashore

the dislocated arm of the  doll  I  found

.

and a dented torchlight that still lit up..

abandoned

god  gave each and every couple a plot of land  to till.  some  grew  flowers

on  it,  others,  fruits  or vegetables.   there  are  those  who  landscaped  it,

and there are also others who mowed it into a  field of grass.  some prefer

towering  trees,  dragonflies  and  streams to line its contour and others, a

zen  garden  it  became.  in  between,  there  are  also  those  who  kept on

trying   yet   just  could  not  grow  anything.   as  children,  we   are  like  the

garden  our   parents  tend  in  their  plot.    along  the  way,   many  parents

succeeded  but  there  too  are  others  not  endowed  with  the  know  how,

green fingers nor the skills of  a promising planter. and so, no matter what

we became of, albeit a charming fairytale garden or a piece of barren land,

we should first and foremost be thankful that  our  parents  were  there  for

us despite all odds. if we looked around, many  a  parent  gave  up,  some

ended their lives because  of  marital  and  financial  problems  and  as  a

result, many children  were  abandoned, given  away  because  they  were

thought to be of burden to many an ambitious  parent.  we should be glad

that at  the end of the day, despite it all, despite their hardship which might

affect  our comfort, they did not abandon us.  this we had to be grateful for.

and only god knows how hard they have tried to be a great parent..

land inspector

I  think  the  greatest  favor  man  can   do   for

this world  is  not  to  contemplate  its  ending

when  God, like a  land  inspector arrives  but

to get him nodding in approval when he sees

earth   in    its   most   beautiful,   harmonious,

happiest and healthiest of state so  much  so

that he will  grant us yet another  2000  years

of lease because all of us did a good job..

.

relationship

man,  their  greatest challenge  is  relationship.

and because of relationship,  discordance and

war  emerge.  when  we  are  in  a  relationship,

whatever  relationship it  might be, we  need to

respect,  understand and  treat each other well.

this is important above all else..

struggling

struggling  binds  of   chain

breaks within me

I knew of once when  order

could have  been  right  but

the   opposing   chaos    by

without   a    care

and hence was  I  ushered

was    I   ushered

without   a    care

struggling  for  the  want  of

a  red  sedan  reenactment

of  days  mistaken

and shards which I  chose

to   pelt    under    my   feet

of  days  mistaken

breaks within  me

without    a    care

I knew of once when  order

could have  been  right  but

without    a    care

was    I    ushered

away    from    my    destiny..
